Tootlee is all about showcasing kids who are not “hiding in the box waiting for their extraordinary destiny” as Ilia Kramarik, the world’s youngest philosopher, would say. “Hiding in the box” kids are kids who are wasting their prime learning years learning to be like all the other average kids around them.

Some of the children featured on Tootlee are helped along by their parents, grandparents, coaches, or teachers because the children themselves don’t see the potential that resides within them. Other children featured here have an internal urge to make a difference in this world no matter what lies in their way. In either case, these kids are Tootlee kids–kids developing their total potential.

We here at Tootlee.com think it’s a shame that many of our children are not given the opportunity to learn what potential resides within them. A child may be encouraged to keep struggling with studies that are extremely difficult for them while an obvious  interest, talent or skill the child has is ignored.  For instance, a child who shows outstanding gymnastic abilities should be given the chance to develop that talent to the fullest. There may be an Olympic champion in the making.  Or a child may do great with school but is not given the opportunity to take their ability to spell or do math to greater levels than just bringing home an “A.” With many young adults struggling emotionally with not knowing where their place is in this world or what they have to offer, we wonder if it’s not time to help children learn what they are especially good at while they are still children, then guide them as they make their place in this world using their abilities to their total potential before they reach adulthood.

We think any kid can be a Tootlee kid, if given the chance.
